DuBOIS, PA – Atlas Pressed Metals recently hosted representative auditors from SRI as it completed an in-house audit for the company’s IATF 16949 certification. During that visit, SRI Auditor Robin Dudash presented company president Jude Pfingstler with a 20-year crystal award, honoring the company’s 20-year continuous relationship and association with SRI.
According to the company website, SRI, based in Seven Fields, PA., offers training courses on documentation, interpretation, implementation, and internal auditing for all the quality, safety, and environmental standards to which SRI certifies. Established in 1991 as Steel Related Industries Quality System Registrar (SRI) to serve suppliers in the steel industry, SRI was one of the first five registrars in the United States.

Dudash, who specializes in information securities audits, plastics, powdered metal, steel, and coal mining in her role with SRI, has been visiting Atlas since 1996 as SRI’s lead auditor. She was recently conveyed the company’s “Iron Man” award, presented to the company’s busiest auditor. During the discussion about the recognition award, Dudash was asked of her opinion of Atlas.
“If I could sum it all up in one word, I would say, integrity,” Dudash said. She added that since SRI started recognizing clients for the 20-year recognition in 2014, they have awarded 96 companies for their continued commitment and relationship with SRI to date.
Atlas company president Jude Pfingstler said he was both surprised and honored with the recognition, and especially appreciative of the kind and positive feedback from SRI personnel.
