Holly Miller came on board this spring as a Product Engineer. She has over 13 years of experience in the PM (Powdered Metal) industry holding positions in quality, product development, product launch, costing and account management. Holly’s versatile background in PM engineering will strengthen the technical skills offered by Atlas Pressed Metals. Holly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University.

Holly and her fiancé, Rob Molnar who is also involved the PM industry, live in Penfield where they spend time gardening and growing vegetables for their weekend farmers market produce stand.

Andrew Serafini is the most recent addition to the engineering and engineering support team at Atlas Pressed Metals.  Andrew graduated in May 2019 from Penn State with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a specialization in Applied Materials. During his senior year, Andrew completed his research thesis, “Hybrid Post Sinter Treatment of Sinter Hardened Artifacts from PM Steels,” in a collaborative effort between Penn State, Atlas, and Allegheny Coatings.  To continue Andrew’s professional growth, upon his hire, Andrew was the first to move into the “Engineering in Training” program which was initiated by the company this year. The program, developed by Atlas’ Senior Metallurgist, Dr. Craig Stringer, exposes new engineers to engineering practices throughout the PM manufacturing process, including information technology, sales, and metallurgical sciences.  The program is a multi-stage rotation in which the engineer works side by side with production to learn and improve the various methods of PM manufacturing while fostering relationships with the overall manufacturing team. 

 As part of his program of study and his academic/industry collaboration, Andrew has co-authored several presentations on his research topics presented within the powder metal industry at the industry wide trade conference, the MPIF POWDERMET International Conference on Powder Metallurgy and Particulate Materials.

Born and raised in Brockway, Andrew currently lives there with his parents and two brothers. Incidentally, Dad, Ray Serafini, and brothers Raymond III and Noah, and now Andrew are all Penn State graduates.
